Beauty and the beast again. I'm really lazy to elaborate or edit my previous previous "Beauty and the beast" post. Anyway, MD and Guzheng today. It was absolutely very slack..... the attendance was also the lowest I've ever attended: 10 (MD). Hahah, so pathetic right. Xulaoshi told us stories of her dance school, and oh, Shirley came too. Then, we learnt some hiphop and crapping around too... Quite fun though :) Headed to Kranji to get the shirts for our performance. Agh, thought it wouldn't take long, but it tooook friggggin long. The shirt was quite nice and..... Headed back Admiralty. Damn Suaneng again >: Had lunch with them (dance) and went Guzheng. Very slack. But I likey it because Yiyun's there :) Hahah, she really took care of me :) Lol and it was sooooo friggin fun with her around. Amelia, Xiaojun, Yiyun and I were gossiping tooooo. Then went home with Yiyun, Lingjie and Derrick. Hahahahhah frigggggin funny. It's been soo long that I chatted with Lingjie and it's so friggin funnnnnn. THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. P/S SORRY, PICTURES ANOTHER TIME! :( I'm so frigggggin tired. I'm gna finish this post tonight, copy and paste it onto somewhere and print it out for holiday assignment LOL. Today's awesome. Caught 2012 first, then caught "The beauty and the beast". Both shows were absolute thumbs-up! :D 2012's very jaw-dropping, I shivered like madness because I was feeling so scared! Hahahah, all my muscles are allll tensed up! Ok, now, "Beauty and the beast" *blog more about 2012 another day but it's useless anyway since everyone else had blog about it already lol*! It was awesome. My twenty fingers + toes up! Seriously, hhahahaha, I was kinda expecting Singyee or Jiunloong to fall asleep, but they didn't! And Singyee was laughing like mad away -.- Hmm, I like the way the characters are dressed - Very spanish/french-like, and I love the gown Beauty's (fyi Beauty's a name) wearing! So cake-y. Hahahaha! Don't understand, forget it. There was many, many parts which really make the audience go laughing non-stop, clapping non-stop, and cheering like wild animals. E.g., their languages "Walao!", "Walao eh!", "Zhao lah!", "Boomz!", "Shingz!", "Diam lah" and many more. (: Their body language is also very funny, I like the sound effect! Very co-operative, and the little children were adorable, though they makes mistakes. But it's cute watching! There was this 2 main characters too, which I think is a guy-dressed-as-a-girl, heheheh, because they speak like guys! And they have really fake bigggggggggg booooooobies :X Hehehh. Then, there was those really touching parts too. But I like Beauty's voice! It's sooooo sweet to the ear, they sang a lot. But I like it ^^. Thought it might be boring, but it isn't. Miss Choo said this is probably a 6-month production, so it's kinda cool of the director to add those last-minute "shingz" and "boomz"! :D Ok whatever. Heheheh, I'll do my homework here! Q1: What did I enjoy most about the play? - I enjoy most during the part where Beauty falls in love with the Beast. Although he's a beast and he was hot-tempered by nature even when he was a human, he let Beauty go home to take care of her sick father. He knew the risks he was taking to allow her to go home because she could have escaped and never return to fulfill her promise to return and this would lead to a lifetime of being a Beast and his whole household being freaks. However, he believed in her and a week later, it proves to the the righteous decision ever made. (got 100 words or not?) Q2: Why do I think the play is memorable? - I think the play is memorable because of the way the characters present themselves (their body language), the clothes they wore, and most importantly, the way they speak like a typical Singaporean with slangs as well as following the latest "boomz" and "shingz". The characters' body language makes the audience laugh because it is being exaggerated, alongside with sound effects, it makes the entire play much more interesting! Their dresses and suits are also very special because it is hardly seen being wore by Singaporeans on the streets, which makes it memorable because of their slang, which supposedly meant it's Singapore-made, yet it has a western feeling in it. Q3: How does it link to Island voices? - The themes are very matching - Modernization, Globalization. Also, it is "made" in Singapore. Modernization, because times have changed and the characters improved in every ways too, to make the play much more interesting. (aiya don't care don't know what to write alrd. so tired........... baix) Dance tomorrow. Guzheng tomorrow. T_T Omfg hope it won't be sooooo jiatlat. Anyways 9 people to an entire busssss!
